Standard Tuning (GarageBand)

Tune your guitar strings to form the notes shown in the picture (GarageBand makes this easy!).

MINI TUNER
If you don't have access to GarageBand, you may like to tune your guitar with this mini tuner.  Adjust each string, individually, until it sounds the same as the target note.

Alternatively, you could tune your guitar in GarageBand.



Chords

Think of a song you would like to learn to play.  Use google to search for the song chords.

Hover over a particular note to view the relevant chord diagram.

Tick the box to display chord diagrams (as seen below).

Playing Chords

• ① = first (index) finger
• ② = second (middle) finger
• ③ = third (ring) finger
• ④ = fourth (pinky) finger
•  × = don't play this string!

Once you have mastered a few basic chords you will find tab fairly easy to read.  Have a go!
