Book Week: Group Activity

During book week we were lucky enough to join children from other classes in special activity groups.  Each group visited a particular class, after lunch, on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

In room 7 we read about a world record involving extreme balance on a high cable.  Visiting groups then had fun creating balancing creatures.  The science involved is called centre of mass.  Take a look at our photos below.  And as always, if you try to make one at home, ask for help from an adult!

Environmental Fun

Science: Hot Air Balloons

Earlier this term we were visited by several hot air balloonists.  We enjoyed their visit and learned a lot.  Afterwards, we decided to make our own model hot air balloons.  Take a look at the photos below.
